The Den Family
We are an independently and locally operated business dedicated to providing the community with a safe and fun place to leave your canine companion when you cannot be with them or if they feel like just being around someone a little more similar to them. We are committed to providing your four-legged friends with a safe and enjoyable environment and experience. At The Den, our team consists of loving staff that will always treat your puppy as if they were one of our own! Our on-site teams are trained in Pet First Aid and we have well-established emergency protocols in place in the event of an unfortunate situation occurring so you can be rest assured that your canine companion is safe and in good hands when they stay with us. The family at The Den brings a wealth of experience in fostering, adoption, veterinary services, as well as being proud dog parents ourselves. Our partnerships with Wild Paws & Co, allow us to stay informed of new research and knowledge in animal care and behaviour to ensure that we are able to provide your canine companion with the best care and experience.
Our Playground
The Den's custom-constructed facility consists of a combined square-footage of over 5,000 divided into two play areas, one for large breeds and another for smaller breeds; both play areas consist of an indoor and outdoor space depending on the preference of your pet. The play area for your dog will depend on its size, age, temperament and as well as other specific considerations.

The indoor play areas are climate controlled and comprise of shock-absorbing rubber flooring which provides a safe and sanitary surface that is not only easy to clean, but also easy on your dog's joints and paws when playing and running around. The outdoor play areas consist of premium grade artificial turf that simulates natural grass for your dog to have fun as well as comfort for your them to do their 'business' outdoors. Both indoor and outdoor play areas are cleaned and sanitized daily to ensure a clean, comfortable and enjoyable environment.

During their stay with us, your canine companion will be under constant supervision by our staff members and can be viewed by you through our live webcam feed (Channel Den). All dogs will have unlimited access to water to prevent dehydration. You may also bring their food (and medication if applicable) and request scheduled feeding to re-energize your dog for more playtime!

Our facility is conveniently located and easily accessible off the Burloak Drive exit, right off the QEW and walking distance from the Appleby Go Train Station – ideal for dropping off your canine companion in the morning on your way to work and to pick them up at the end of the day.
